Do you sometimes feel that there may be more you could achieve for yourself and your organisation - If only you had the right strategy and tools?
Perhaps you would be more inclined to:
-
Focus your time and energy on work that actually moves the needle.
-
Say no to distractions and low-value tasks without guilt.
-
Communicate your vision in a way others can rally behind.
-
Align team efforts to shared goals, reducing confusion and misalignment.
-
Navigate challenges as a team with a sense of purpose and direction.
-
Build trust in with others as someone who knows what they want—and why.
-
Start each day with clarity instead of overwhelm.
When I first started running businesses, it felt like I was constantly putting out fires. Every day brought a new challenge, and just when I thought I’d solved one problem, three more would show up. I was stuck in survival mode—busy, stressed, and wondering if it would ever get easier.
What I didn’t realise then was that I was holding myself back. I was unknowingly riding the brakes on my own achievement.
Over time, I discovered what I now call my Achievement Brakes—the habits, fears, and beliefs that were slowing me and my team down. And more importantly, I found my Achievement Accelerators. And when I lean into these, something shifts. The work doesn’t vanish - Sometimes quite the opposite but it flows. It becomes more natural. Work starts to feel lighter, more focused—and more successful.
What would happen if you invested a little into stepping back and releasing the brakes. Then gently applying the accelerators?

Join us on Tuesday 15th July to explore how you can go faster in a Naturally Productive kind of way?.

The Achievement Accelerators training is for leaders, small teams and professionals to experience how a change in focus can create a dramatic difference in the results they and their teams are producing.

It is particularly beneficial for:

-
People with a growth mindset, looking to develop themselves and their teams.
-
People just starting a new career.
-
Those in charge of strategy and direction.
-
Anyone wanting to make significant change in their organisation.
-
Anyone wanting to achieve something out of the ordinary.
Achievement Brakes
Achievement Brakes are things that hold teams and organisations back. They often occur in day to day work and office life. Below are a few that we will explore on 15th July 2025.

-
Your Focused on the problems, not the solutions. Even though most people think that they are solution focused, they only need to listen to themselves for five minutes to realise where their attention really is - Problems, Challenges, Difficult Others...
-
Lack of accountability. People often ask help from "Everybody" or delegate to "Nobody". They expect "Somebody" to step up and they want "Anybody" to do it. See our blog post for the poem.
-
You're focused on achieving a goal rather than getting a result. Quite often we are busy working hard to achieve something to get something else. For example, we are gaining a qualification to get a job. But can keep you stuck in working hard for little gain.
-
You mistake perception for reality. As the saying goes, "The map is not the territory". Most people believe that their opinions are true.
-
Distractions. It is so easy to get on your phone and "Do something else" rather than push on with the things you need to be doing to achieve.
Achievement Breaks
An Achievement Break often occurs quite simply when, over a cup of tea, the team turn their attention away from problems and towards results.

This simple switch from looking at problems to focusing on outcomes can instigate huge leaps in performance and productivity. But - be careful - don't break too quickly as there are a number of pitfalls and potholes that will keep the brakes tight on.
What is an Achievement Accelerator?
An "Achievement Accelerator" is a skill or tool that facilitates your ability to define your vision and achieve your goal. On 15th July, we will explore a number of these to help you find the ones that you can deploy for your best benefit.

-
You realise that the map is not the territory. All of us experience our perception of life rather than life as it actually is. We will explore this concept and how experiencing it can keep you returning to the focus you are wanting.
-
You focus on your preferential outcomes. Not your problems. When you're assessing a course of action, this is key. If you know what your preferential outcomes are you can use them as your North Star to navigate to your desired destination.
-
You are a master at zooming in and zooming out. Everything is about focus. How good are you at zooming out to the bigger picture and finding better alternatives? Are you able to zoom in to the detail and create and follow a detailed plan.
-
You know how to use an OODA loop. If you have been in the military, you will be familiar with the OODA loop and know that you don't want to get in another's OODA loop and you don't want anyone in yours. Good coaches will challenge you but always let you process within your OODA loop.
-
You experiment with The Wu Wei approach. The Wu Wei approach is a Taoist approach to getting things done. It relies less on structure and more on awareness and intuition to help you find your path.

The training and development we provided with this scheme was inspirational and transformative to many people and it is this that has inspired me to launch the training and development arm of Meon Springs.
My previous career in training, combined with over 30 years of running a complex diversified agricultural business, full of uncertainty, with long hours, tight margins and plenty of risk makes me well experienced in finding "Achievement Accelerators".

You may well have a number of reasons not to do this course. “I haven’t got time”, “It’s mid-week”, “Others will think I’m weak”, “It’s too expensive”, “None of my friends are doing it”.
If that is how you are thinking but still feel you need a better handle on confidence - at least, please explore how you can develop some Confidence Liberators.
Perhaps even type into your favourite AIBot – “What is an Achievement Accelerator?”.
I did that, and the below is what it said.
“An Achievement Accelerator refers to a structured approach, programme, or tool designed to rapidly enhance an individual’s or team’s ability to reach professional goals. It typically combines elements like goal-setting, skills development, real-time feedback, and performance tracking to shorten the learning curve and boost productivity. By aligning learning with actionable outcomes and providing support systems—such as coaching and mentorship—Achievement Accelerators help individuals and organisations make measurable progress more efficiently and effectively.”.
Let me know if you would like some Achievement Accelerators!!
