Confidence Blockers
​​A "Confidence Blocker" is something that is preventing you from feeling confident in a specific situation or area of life. These blocks are sometimes hard to spot. Below are five common ones, which, amongst others, we will explore on 19th June 2025.​​

You believe that confidence is something you develop and comes from outside of you. Truth is, confidence is something that emerges from within starting with being completely comfortable with who you are.

You conflate confidence and competence. In other words you think it’s confidence you need to develop, whereas in reality it is competence you need to develop.

You believe your thinking. Particularly your “Inner Critic”, whilst your Inner Coach lies asleep.
-
You’re spending too much time being run by reactivity. rather than enabling your more productive responsive mode.
-
Distractions. Endless social media and vicarious experiences numbs you from extracting the life value out of real experiences.​
What is a Confidence Shift?
A confidence shift starts when we realise that something is off and rather than resisting this, we lean into it - resistance and all. Sometimes this is all that is needed for a shift to into a more creative and productive frame of mind.

The Confidence Shift could also be called "The Mindset Shift" or "The Energy Shift" in that it is a completely new and more productive state of mind that emerges.
Confidence Liberators
​​​​"Confidence Liberators" are concessions, skills and techniques that may help you complete a Confidence Shift. Different ones are helpful to different people at different times. On the training day, we will help you find out which ones are useful for you right now.

We Can Do It!!
Some examples of Confidence Liberators are: ​​

Awareness – Particularly Self Awareness. Knowing who you are being and noticing where your attention is can give all the information you need for your Bio Intelligence to automatically make the Bio Intelligent changes that it needs. If nothing else, by the end of the day, you will be more self-aware.

Questioning your thinking, particularly thoughts about who you are. Challenging limiting beliefs and assumptions is a liberating way to be more confident. During the day, you will be exploring these methods and more.

Positive somatic habits – It has been repeatedly proven in science and practice that positive somatic habits such as rhythmic breathing take you out of the anxious, always on system and into the more focused and relaxed system that enables flow. We will be experimenting with these habits on the training day.

Taking action – Doing stuff that you never felt possible will give you an experience of success. By the end of the day, you will have done things you never felt possible.

Getting your priorities right, such as:
- Achieve greater success without burnout.
- Nurturing your preferred outcomes into existence rather than fighting and demanding them.
- Leaning in to whatever is happening in the moment.
- Stopping trying to change your beliefs about who you are and how you should be.
- Taking time to reflect and re-plan.
Over the day we will discuss and explore these ideas and more.
Who is running the training?
Jamie Butler

Business owner (Meon Springs) and trainer.
In my early career I was General Manager of MDS Ltd. A graduate training programme in the Fresh Produce industry. The training and development we provided with this scheme was inspirational and transformative to many people and it is this that has inspired me to launch the training and development arm of Meon Springs.
My previous career in training, combined with over 30 years of running a complex diversified agricultural business, full of uncertainty, with long hours, tight margins and plenty of risk makes me well qualified to bring "The Confidence Shift" to life.
Stacey Black


Stacey is a learning and development specialist and certified yoga teacher with over 15 years’ experience helping professionals build the confidence, clarity, and presence they need to thrive in the workplace.
With a background in corporate training and coaching, Stacey has designed and delivered high-impact workshops across industries, supporting teams and individuals to unlock their potential, navigate self-doubt, and communicate with impact. Her approach blends evidence-based mindset tools from psychology and adult learning theory with embodied practices from yoga and breathwork—creating learning experiences that shift not just how people think, but how they feel in their bodies.
As the co-facilitator of the Confidence Shifts workshop Stacey brings warmth, insight, and practical strategies to help professionals and individuals redefine confidence on their own terms and take it back into the workplace with authenticity and intention.
